by the big blue harbor in san diego . . .
I think that a massive reason why I love what I do so much is because at my very core, I am a romantic. To me, there's nothing more intimate or incredible than being even just a small part of the most important moment in people's lives. This can be through pregnancies, rare family get-togethers, anniversaries, but perhaps the biggest celebration of them all... weddings.
I have been so in love with the few courthouse weddings that I have done. With very small and intimate weddings there, feeling the love is so incredibly easy... and it was especially easy with these two. There were so many moments (pretty much all of which I captured) where I'd catch them just looking at each other from across the room, or doing anything to be in close proximity to one another. The love was tangible and real - and that is why I love what I do. Having the opportunity to witness the union of their epic love.
I love this particular courthouse, because not only is the architecture grand and classic everywhere you look, but because it overlooks the harbor. You can often see crew ships coming in and out, and more importantly, there are historic monumental ships permanently parked right there that make an incredible backdrop. It's perfect for a wedding for a sailor, navy soldier, or marine!
